Rachel is an American Sign Language Teacher and a NIC National Certified Interpreter located in the Kansas City metro area who is passionate about Deaf people and equipping others to be able to converse and minister in and to the Deaf community. She has worked as an interpreter in the Deaf community for over 6 years in a variety of settings including education, video relay service, theatre, freelance, medical, post secondary, ministry conferences, and sporting events in Washington D.C., Texas, Tennessee, Kansas, and Missouri. Rachel also taught an ASL I course for Midwestern State University's Continuing Education Department in 2006 and has had the opportunity to work with a Deaf-Blind consumer.

Fall Class Pricing

Intro to ASL - $75*
6 week class, 90 min sessions


ASL I - $280*
4 month class, 2 hour sessions
*10% off if paid in full by the first day of class.


--Group Discounts Available--
Groups-*
Intro to ASL - $75 for the first student, $50 for each additional student
ASL I - $280 for the first student, $150 for each additional student 


Immediate Family Members-*
Intro to ASL - $75 for the first student, $40 for each additional student
ASL I - $ 280 for the first student, $120 for each additional student


*10 off for payment-up-front will be applied in addition to group and family discounts.

--Travel Charges (if applicable)--
My additional travel charge to meet a student somewhere other than my house is $10 per class day.  My service range for traveling is roughly within a 30 minute drive from my house in Independence, Missouri. Locations farther than a 30 min drive are charged mileage at .51 cents per mile. I will travel for FREE to a location of your choice that is 5 miles of less away from my home.
